UX/UI for Walk With Inpact

Walk with impact

Designing a seamless webshop for Walkwithimpact, a streetwear brand supporting NGOs

Role: Research Lead & UX/UI Designer
Timeline:  September - November 2024

About the Project

Walkwithimpact is a streetwear brand supporting NGOs through donations. Our team designed a user-friendly, visually engaging webshop focused on UX/UI, graphic design, and content strategy.

The goal was to create a seamless shopping experience that reflects the brand’s mission while making it easy for users to browse and buy products.

User flows

To support this, we mapped key user journeys to understand how customers browse, select, and complete purchases.

This early mapping helped us spot friction points and refine the flow before design.

We focused on breaking down actions into smaller, digestible steps to avoid overwhelming users — resulting in a clear, intuitive experience that keeps users engaged.

Mid-fi Wireframes - Mobile First

We started with mid-fidelity wireframes, focusing first on mobile to establish clear hierarchy and prioritize core actions.
Designing mobile-first helped us:

  • Focus on essentials

  • Validate key flows early

  • Iterate quickly based on feedback

Desktop Wireframes

Once the mobile experience was solid, we scaled to desktop — keeping consistency while adapting layout to larger screens. We focused on maintaining intuitive flow across breakpoints and making the most of additional space without adding noise.

Final Design

We moved from sketches and prototypes into refining the webshop’s UI. The result: clean navigation, bold visuals, and a seamless checkout flow. My focus was on balancing streetwear aesthetics with clear CTAs — creating a shopping experience that feels both effortless and aligned with the brand’s mission.

Design Decisions

Every design choice reflected Walkwithimpact’s dual focus: style and purpose.

  • The visual identity connects with a streetwear audience.

  • UX improvements — like simplifying checkout and highlighting NGO contributions — made the mission more visible.

Key Learnings

Starting with low-fidelity sketches proved crucial — skipping that step only made later iterations heavier and more time-consuming.

I also realized how vital team alignment is: clearly defined ownership and mutual trust kept the process moving smoothly, even when challenges arose.

Throughout the project, I sharpened my ability to balance aesthetics with usability, always keeping user needs front and center.

Most importantly, I deepened my skill in translating brand values into digital experiences that feel authentic, trustworthy, and engaging.
